This is the homepage for "Ray Netherwood for Congress."   Florida's 2nd District has suffered long enough with a representative who has swallowed big donor dollars and represents, not the people, but the special interests funding his campaigns!   It is time to ditch the deadwood, to show the Pelosis, Franks, Dodds, and Boyds of the world that voters are fed up with "spend spend spend" and burying future generations under a mountain of debt.   Say "NO" to deadwood ... say "YES" to Netherwood.

Capital Medical Society

The Capital Medical Society in Tallahassee recently hosted a “Meet the Candidates” event. Unfortunately I was unable to attend.  I stated that I would make a posting on my website, so here it is.

Candidates were to be introduced and then asked to answer a question in two minutes or less; for Congressional candidates there were two choices:

1.  What is your position on the healthcare legislation that Congress passed and the President signed in March?

Never More True

Let's see, solar panels and wind mills are going to fix unemployment ... better believe it, I heard it from Our Great Leader's lips.   I know, let's raise taxes, and implement massive new social programs we can't afford ... those actions should surely help!   Of course, the only stimulus we may see is money to Boeing for a new replacement aircraft when the current Air Force one can't get off the ground anymore .... and the suppliers of jet fuel have also gotten their share of "Obama money."

Draining the Swamp

Ahhhh, power corrupts ... and too much Congressional power corrupts absolutely.

Nancy Pelosi has not done a very good job in tightening up the ethical behavior in the House.   Besides Rangel and Waters, there are the mundane sexual trysts by folks in both chambers and in both parties.

Strange Disappearance of Candidate

By Ray Netherwood, on Aug 1, 2010

A month of no "POSTS" ... what's with that?

I've had more than one comment ... and there is a little guilt because the disappearance has been totally self-inflicted.   Some 20+ days were spent out of the country, and additional time up in North Carolina.   Calendars and laptops were deliberately left behind, cell phone was turned off too.

80 Million Gallons and Counting -- Obama & McChrystal

Will the spill ever stop?   Will the Gulf become one big "deadzone"?   If we cover the Gulf and Atlantic, and other bodies of water with a film of oil, will water be able to evaporate through it to create rain and replentish the water life needs on land?   Will Earth become another Mars?
